The Drinks Business, a trade publication about the drinks industry, has announced that The Golan Heights Distillery, a whiskey producer in northern Israel, is being sold in the United States for the first time.
The whiskey is less than a year old, which is far las then the typical three-year aging process. The short time span for producing the whiskey likely contributes to its low price point at $35 a bottle. A shipment of just 600 bottles has arrived in America.
The Golan Heights Distillery is located near the Golan Heights Winery and uses the vineyards' casks (but not the same mashgiach).
