New York City's cauliflower lovers can rejoice. An outpost of Eyal Shani's Miznon restaurant is due to open in Chelsea Market in the next couple of weeks.

Miznon, which means cafeteria in Hebrew, serves contemporary Israeli food such as the aforementioned roasted cauliflower. But its real menu staple is stuffed pita sandwiches.

There are already 12 Miznon locations around the world in such cities as Melbourne, Paris, Vienna, and Tel Aviv. Some, but not all of the locations are kosher. The Chelsea Market location will not be kosher and will likely serve fare like pita filled with creamy shrimp; pita filled with lobster, craime fraiche, ratatouille and egg; and even a moussaka pita.

The Chelsea Market location will feature counter seating front of an open kitchen as well as tables and stadium-style benches.

When Miznon opens in Chelsea Market, diners can have a real Israeli feast with fare from hummus joint Dizengoff and dessert from halva spot Seed + Mill.
